SUGGESTED FEEDING GUIDE

Based on Dog’s Age and Ideal Bodyweight

Please use our suggested feeding guide to make your dog's meal perfectly portioned to his/her individual needs.

  • Don't worry if you do a little more or less, it's not an exact science.

  • You can increase/decrease the amount depending on your nutritional goals.

Initially, start out feeding 1.5% of Body Weight, increasing it to 2% of Body Weight to allow your pup's stomach to adjust to the new diet.

Our Meat Pucks weigh approx. 6-7oz each and our Meatballs weigh approx. 2-3oz each.

How to Calculate:

  • 1.5% of Ideal Weight Per Day. (Multiply Weight of Adult Dog x 0.015 x 16 = Oz to Feed Per Day)

  • 2% of Ideal Weight Per Day. (Multiply Weight of Adult Dog x .02 x 16= Oz to Feed Per Day)

  • 5% of Ideal Weight Per Day. (Multiply Weight of Puppy x .05 x 16= Oz to Feed Per Day)

How To Transition?

While Some Companies Suggest A Slow Transition, We Recommend For You To Approach This Diet Change By Eliminating The Previous Diet Completely And Begin Feeding Only Jake And Blue’s Raw Dog Food For The First Meal Of The Day.

This Allows For A 12-Hour Fast Prior To Making The Switch And Begins The Detoxification Process Provide Your Pet With Optimal Health And Wellness. This Transition Is Simple And Appropriate For Most Young And/Or Healthy Dogs That Have A History Of Easily Accepting Diet Changes.
